Denture Occlusion
  • I had my upper teeth pulled ten months ago and had an upper denture put in at that time. Six months after I had it relined to fit my mouth. Two months later I had a split between the two front teeth to the middle of my plate so I went to the dentist and he had it relined again. Now, only a month later it has split again in the same place but the split went up towards the right from the middle two teeth. My question is why is my plate splitting like this? I have put so much money into this and I cannot afford to keep paying to get this fixed every other month. My dentist is getting very frustrated with me but it is not my fault. It happens while I am eating. I need to know what is causing this and if I should have a whole new denture made or can this be permanently fixed. I wanted to know if it is normal to have jaw pain from wearing dentures. It feels like my jaw is not in the same position that it used to be and my jaws actually get very tired and sore and causes pain that goes into the ear. It feels like I just need to have my jaw go back to where it was before I got the dentures, to relax my jaw. ...Kimberly  (answer)
